MYOFASCIAL RELEASE (MFR)

THAI BODYWORK + YOGA THERAPY

~SINCE 2000

EFFECTIVE, ADVANCED, EXPERIENCED BODYWORK

pain, stiffness, limited Mobility…

Restricted Fascia is the LOCK.

Myofascial Release (MFR) + Thai Bodywork

is the KEY.

“This massage is better than any other massage I’ve ever had. Jen really listens to you and works on the areas that need to be worked on. Very relaxing, but also gets the kinks out.”

What is MFR + Thai Bodywork?

Myofascial release (MFR) + Thai bodywork is a blend of two very effective therapeutic methods.

It combines safe yoga-like stretches, acupressure and rhythmic muscle compression techniques of Thai bodywork

with the effective pain & pressure-relieving techniques of MFR that break up adhesions in the FASCIA (the connective tissues of the body).

just some of the benefits:

-reverses/eliminates chronic pain patterns

-greater ease of movement with increased ROM

-increases circulation

-restores pliability to the muscles and connective tissues

-enhances the circulatory and lymphatic systems

-a deep, lasting sense of calmness in the body + mind

OUR APPROACH ISN’T YOUR TYPICAL MASSAGE EXPERIENCE.

MFR + Thai Bodywork is incredibly effective for eliminating chronic pain patterns & correcting musculoskeletal imbalances…

THE RESULTS YOU ARE LOOKING FOR!

PLEASE NOTE: Our treatments are Area-Specific rather than a “general full body massage”. We focus our time on 1-2 key priority zones, holding space for meaningful change to take place.

MFR + Thai Bodywork is mostly performed on a supportive mat on the floor, but is also adaptable for the massage table to meet clients needs. It includes both working through fabric or directly on skin, with or without lotion.

Whereas traditional Thai massage generally moves at a faster pace and performed through clothing, MFR + Thai Bodywork moves at a deeper, slower pace similar to “yin yoga”. This approach targets the areas of imbalance & invests the time needed to remodel the fascia & create lasting change.

Stretching—combined with muscle compression + rhythmic rocking soothes the body and helps break up the tension that keeps us feeling stiff and “stuck”.

This also leads to longer lasting results than traditional stretching.

The experience feels relieving, restorative, relaxing and rejuvenating all at the same time….

….while offering extended benefits beyond the session itself.

Gentle stretches take you through your current range of motion—then safely and incrementally release barriers in the tissues to open and elongate the body, restoring soft tissue pliability, and helping to restore proper body mechanics.

Joint mobilization improves joint lubrication, increases circulation, reduces muscle tension and promotes the body's natural healing process. It helps to restore proper joint function and can also help prevent future injuries.

Kneading+ Grasping techniques stimulate the release of endorphins—the body's “natural, mood-lifting painkillers”

Rocking the body offers myriad benefits including reducing stress and anxiety, improving sleep, enhancing cognitive function, and increasing mobility.

Muscle compression techniques improve circulation & detoxification, reduce pain and swelling, enhance muscle recovery, and promote relaxation.

Traction techniques create space in the body—alleviating restricted, painful areas & allowing easier movement.

Myofascial trigger point techniques release those spots of localized pain that can also refer pain elsewhere in the body.

Walking on the body provides broadly delivered pressure (up to full bodyweight when appropriate)..which is impossible to achieve in a self care routine.

“I started seeing Jen in 2022 while I was dealing with back, shoulder and neck pain and have been a regular customer ever since. I have been essentially pain free since then with the exception of minor issues which not only she can alleviate but, most importantly, offers counsel on how to manage.

I would say there are at least 10 things I have incorporated into my routine that she has recommended that keeps my body strong and promotes quality longevity. Jen is a pro and committed to her craft which contributes to my own mindset and motivation. Not only that, but she is also one of the nicest most caring people I know. I couldn’t recommend more highly.”
